Danielle Glick

Counsellor

Danielle Glick is a professional counsellor licensed in the state of Connecticut, specializing in work with dually diagnosed individuals. With training in substance and alcohol use disorder counselling, she works with those seeking recovery or are in early recovery in addition to those with Bipolar Disorder, personality disorders, trauma/PTSD, and those in the cancer or chronic illness community. She began working in mental health in 2015 with work in advocacy, fundraising, and teaching mental health education to middle and high school students before returning to school in 2018, where she completed her masters in applied psychology at Sacred Heart University, where she graduated summa cum laude and member of Psi Chi. She will complete coursework toward her PsyD (2025) in Health Psychology, with current research focused on correlations between childhood trauma and adulthood diagnosis of cancer/chronic illness. Additionally, she has appeared on several podcasts, streaming programs, and has written for a variety of different topics ranging from cancer and grief to suicide prevention. She utilizes an eclectic approach to counselling, pulling from training in evidence based modalities such as CBT, DBT, play and creative arts therapy, and more, and is a trained EMDR therapist. Danielle has worked with a wide variety of populations in different settings such as psychiatric inpatient, IOP, intensive in-home, and outpatient with her own private practice opening in 2024.
