Pam Garner

Art Therapist

Pam Garner is an art therapist, artist, and facilitator, who believes in the power of creativity in the healing process. Pam has a love of learning with a special interest in writing, pottery and storytelling. She finds when she looks at her art with a sense of curiosity, it can surprise and deepen her.

Through her life, she has called both the United Kingdom and Canada her home. She currently lives on an acreage west of Saskatoon. Pam is a recent graduate of the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute where she received her graduate-level diploma. Her education degree was completed at Simon Fraser University.

Pam brings a wide range of experience having worked with children of all ages. As an art therapy intern, she has brought art therapy to children, and to adults in care homes, mental health facilities, parent groups, day programs, and professional groups.

Pam sees herself and others as relational beings that move in and out of both needing another, and able to offer assistance. She believes in our connection to things outside of ourselves, specifically nature, animals, and human community. We do not heal alone but in relation to one another.
